A Teak chest on a stand with twelve graduated traditional drawers.

The layout and the size of the drawers along with the handles are all random. Each drawer is hand cut and fitted to its own carcase opening. The fronts of all the drawers are from an unusual log of London Plane that had a burr running through the entire trunk. I acquired these boards whilst visiting a derelict cotton mill in Yorkshire years ago but had never appreciated the incredible grain until we started this project. The sycamore drawer sides are jointed with hand cut dovetails and have drawer bases made from fragrant Cedar of Lebanon. The drawer handles are bespoke solid brass with a satin finish.
